We created Impakter Eco with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations in mind – and major international agreements such as the Paris Climate Agreement and the Global Biodiversity Agreement.
If we want to make an Impact, we need to lead by showing that we mean it – by taking action. Brands that respect the 17 SDGs should be supported and their products should be consumed and introduced to a growing audience on a large geographical scale.
We use a transparent process for classifying a brand’s sustainability. Our team works to rigorously to analyze and quantify each brand’s sustainability score.
To make the cut in our marketplace, a brand has to be either certified, have received an award, and/or have obtained a label. Our team checks each company individually to make sure they pass all our criteria.
We verify that ratings are not attempts at greenwashing and only include those that have one or more essential and reputable certificates and/or labels. All brands that have earned a high score (A or B) on the Impakter Sustainability Index are included and their score is shown.Learn more about how do we evaluate a brand based on Methodology.
